Top 5 aviation companies to work for

The list that employers fear, loathe or in the best cases, love- Glassdoor. Scouring the Best Places to Work list (as voted for by employees), I found 5 companies in the aviation sector from IT providers to airlines.

5. Eaton

The electrical products manufacturer's product line is really diverse but made our list due to their aerospace propulsion systems. At number 49 on the list, employees are satisfied with a 3.6 out of 5 rating.

"A caring company that believes the wellfare of their employees affects the bottom line in a positive way."

4. Boeing Commercial Airplanes

Boeing, as the "world’s leading aerospace company and the largest manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft combined," made number 45 on the list.  Employees are satisfied at 3.5 out of 5.

"Amazing experience, treated all interns as real and valuable employees."

3. SAP

SAP made our list of the Top 40 IT influencers in aviation and they're number 42 on the list of best companies to work for. Employees are satisfied with a 3.8 out of 5 rating.

"Successful, stable company with integrity."

2. JetBlue

JetBlue offers flights and tickets to more than 65 destinations. And apparently a pleasant working environment! Number 28 on the list, JetBlue has a 3.6 out of 5 satisfaction rating.

"Great place to work and great people."

1. Southwest Airlines

Southwest made number 12 on the Glassdoor list and employees are "very satisfied", rating the company 4.2 out of 5.

"Southwest values the ’employee experience’ just as much as the ‘customer experience."
