Southwest viral video wins as other airlines lose to social media

A Southwest viral video has pipped other airlines to the online post this week.

On Monday of this week, a Dutch teenager was arrested for tweeting a terrorist threat to American Airlines. US Airways had en embarrassing Monday after one of their team “accidentally” tweeted a photo of a woman with a model in aeroplane where it shouldn’t be.

But Southwest prevailed this week. One of the airlines’ flight attendants is the star of the Southwest viral video that has racked up more than 5m views in four days. In the video, the flight attendant delivers the reinterpreted safety instructions before take off. We’ve seen this before in the form of rap but passengers on this flight were impressed with the number of jokes she squeezes into three minutes.

Here’s one for you: “As you know, it’s a no-smoking, no-whining, no-complaining flight. It’s a ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ and ‘you are such a good-looking flight attendant’ flight.”
