Frequent flyers of United Airlines are in for a pleasant experience at Newark Liberty International Airport in New York.
Today, United opens a new Global Services check-in area to members of its exclusive program and flyers of United Global First. It features four full-service check-in positions and four newly constructed security checkpoint lanes. Members going through these lanes are also given convenient access to the United Club, which include complimentary bar service, light snacks, free Wi-Fi, conference room access and more.
United is also offering tarmac transportation service at Newark, chauffeuring passengers in Mercedes-Benz GL-Class vehicles. This is to ensure that top customers with tight connections or substantial travel distances will have ease getting to their connecting flights.
“United’s new Global Services reception area at our New York hub will enable us to provide the high level of service our most loyal customers expect, while the expanded number of security lanes will expedite screening for all customers. This project is the latest step in our continued efforts to offer a more flyer-friendly premium travel experience for United customers.”
– Jimmy Samartzis, Vice President of Customer Experience.
In addition to these amenities, United also gives boarding priority to ‘premium class’ passengers over families with children.
What do you think of these new amenities? Should airlines work on more amenities and perks for economy class passengers to improve overall customer experience? Let us know your thoughts.
