HR leaders from Air Astana, Comair, Jetstar, Garuda, Peach, SriLankan join us

We’re carrying on with our weekly speaker review – this week looking at airline HR leaders who will be speaking at the Aviation Human Capital track – a brand new addition to our 2016’s Aviation Festival Asia taking place on 23-24 February in Singapore.

From the quest for growth to the crisis of internal restructuring, they will share insights and best practices on how to overcome the human capital challenges of now and tomorrow. There’s a lot to see and a lot to learn, so here’s just a quick review get started.

The Gap Bridgers
________________________________________________________________________________

Eve Liebetrau, Executive Manager of Human Resource, Comair
Corinna Cheang, Head of People, Jetstar Asia Airways
Heriyanto Agung Putra, Director of Human Capital & Corporate Affairs, Garuda Indonesia

They will be bringing different perspectives from FSC and LCC models, from within and outside of Asia to the panel discussion on how to cope with the talent needs in the fast growing Asian aviation industry.

Corinna Cheang, with 20 years of experience in HR, has recently launched the part-time cabin crew programme to attract and retain experienced staff back into Jetstar Asia’s workforce. For Heriyanto Agung Putra, the challenge is to fill the need of approximately 400 new pilots when Garuda approaches 2020. With the shortage of qualified pilot schools in Indonesia, finding people with the right skills is as big a constraint as infrastructure. Eve Liebetrau will bring her perspective from South Africa on how she has helped Comair grow it’s core business of operating British Airways Domestic and Regional and the low-cost arm kulula.com simultaneously.

The Culture Curators
________________________________________________________________________________

Yevgeniya Ni, Vice President, HR and Administration, Air Astana
Noriyuki Shimizu, Executive Vice President, Culture & Resources, Peach Aviation

We all know that a strong corporate culture will drive employee productivity, customer service, quality and brand. But what we don’t often know is how to get there. So we invite an FSC and an LCC to share with you their best practices.

Yevgeniya Ni will talk about how she builds a young, creative and motivating culture that makes Air Astana the 4th most attractive employer in Kazakhstan. Noriyuki Shimizu will walk us through his journey of building a start-up’s awesome atmosphere against the background of a Japanese culture that is widely known as conservative and hierarchical.

Just because…
