If you’ve traveled at all recently, you’ve probably noticed the impact that digital has had on the passenger experience. Maybe you booked your flight using your mobile phone, or presented a digital boarding pass at the gate. You might have used an airline app or website to stay on top of flight updates.
But passengers aren’t the only ones who have adopted digital interactions as a way of life in the travel space. At this point, most pilots and flight attendants use tablets to carry out their day-to-day tasks. It’s estimated that by 2018 almost thirty percent of airline staff will be using smartphones for aircraft turnaround. That’s almost three times the number in 2015.
So how can airlines stay on top of the growth of digital in both their passengers’ lives and their own?
