British Airways tearjerking new campaign

British Airways have launched a new campaign that might have you close to tears.

‘Go Further to Get Closer’ is the most recent campaigns from the airline launched on Valentine’s Day last week.

This video looks at Sumeet Gupta and how British Airways helped him surprise his wife Chetna by giving them the chance to escape work and get some quality time alone.

This is the marketing strategy BA have taken with their Indian market. Couples in India, especially younger couples, make work their top priority. Tied with extended family being a big part in daily life, it’s difficult for couples to spend quality time together.

The campaign will also involve a ‘How close are you?’ quiz on it’s official Facebook page.

India is one of the most strategic markets for British Airways. It is the airline’s second largest market globally with connections from five key cities in India 48 times a week to over 500 destinations around the world.
