Airbus ‘Space Flex’ reshapes aircraft to assist disabled passengers

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus  is marking a step forward in aircraft design, by launching the ‘Space Flex’ concept, which will help passengers with reduced mobility fly more easily.

The concept has reshaped its single-aisle aircraft to provide far greater access to the toilets. The publicity of the new design, comes as part of a larger push to make transport more accessible for all users. As today, the EU is also marking ‘European Day for People with Disabilities’.

Let’s hope the airline industry, as a whole, gets on board with the new scheme, and takes us into a future where being mobile is easily accessible for everyone.
