The wreckage of the missing Air Algerie flight AH5017 has been found near the Burkina Faso Border.
There is still no exact evidence for as to why this has happened, but French officials have ruled out that the plane was shot down. Transport minister Frederic Cuvillier has said: We have excluded from the start the possibility of a strike from the ground.’
France’s interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve has said: ‘We think that this plane crashed for reasons pertaining to meteorological conditions.’
President Fançois Hollande has recently announced that French soldiers have reached the wreckage and retrieved the plane’s black box, but that there had been ‘no survivors.’
