Top 50 airlines (ASK): Highlights

Robeel Haq, the Aviation Writer, recently published the Top 50 airlines by Available Seat Kilometres (ASK) Per Week. With this in mind, here are some of the highlights from the list- 4 of the airlines that will have representatives speaking at the World Low Cost Airlines Congress 2013.

28. EasyJet

Available Seat Kilometres (ASK) Per Week: 1209693390

Year on year % change: 16%

Peter Duffy, Marketing Director and Frances Ouseley, Italy Director will both be joining us to discuss how high speed rail is competing with short haul services, what the impact will be of traditional carriers on the short haul market in Europe, how EasyJet are making travel easy through digitial interaction with customers, distribution models and how to improve yields per passenger.

23. Ryanair

Year on year % change: -0.3%

Mr Michael O'Leary will take part in an interview with the BBC's Stephen Sackur who will be asking industry leaders how they are responding to a challenging environment and maturing market. Mr O'Leary will also be taking part in a panel session discussing the effects of high speed rail and the value proposition.

Year on year % change: 3%

Mr Pieter Elbers, COO and Jeroen Hugen, Senior Network Planning Europe will both attend the WLCA. Pieter Elbers will be interviewed by Stephen Sackur to find out how KLM is responding to a challenging environment and maturing market. Jeroen Hugen will be discussing how to grow and expand your market share in a mature European region and the impact of traditional carriers on the short haul market in Europe.
