What are Flydubai's plans for further rapid expansion? As the Middle Eastern carriers begin to grow Flydubai have really stuck out in the crowd as very ambitious. Just recently they announced their first annual profit and they are already looking at placing an order for 50 more aircrafts. They really have proven there is space for an LCC in the rapidly growing Dubai market and are even looking to develop routes into the Russia and other CIS countries.

How have they done this in such a short space of time? The close partnership with Emirates certainly helped, they have successfully operated alongside the full service carrier by entering the short and medium-haul markets that are just too small for Emirates fleet. This complimentary network has ensured Flydubai's rapid growth and it will be interesting to see what their future plans  are to develop their hybrid model.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai joined us last year at the World Low Cost Airlines Congress to discuss how they have made this rapid growth happen.
